Chinmaya Vidyalayas are run under the auspices of the Central Chinmaya Trust in different parts of the country.This strong foundation for the future of India had its humble beginnings at Kollengode-Kerala, way back in 1967 with a nursery school. Since then many lamps have been lit and many hearts have been kindled. It encompasses 70 schools,3 Harihar schools and an International school.These institutions are governed by the CCMT Education Cell and are built on the foundation of the Chinmaya Vision Programme. 

We welcome you to Chinmaya Vidyalaya Kasaragod .There are schools and schools but not many like Chinmaya Vidyalaya Kasaragod . The Vidyalaya took its inspiration from the noble ideas of Swami Chinmayanandaji , founder of Chinmaya Mission ,began in  small way in 1971  Nov 14th . Since  then the school has grown from strength to strength.Our school is administered by the President, H.H. Swami Viviktananda and the managing committee consisting of local members of the Chinmaya Mission and other people interested in the cause.The school has now evolved as the best educational institution in Kasaragod .We have classes from 1 to IV with 698 students on the rolls and 31 teaching staffs.

The aim of our school is to impart the best of education with utmost care, love and understanding with a view to instilling in these young minds early enough, moral and ethical values, strength of character, discipline,national outlook, firm faith in all religions, and an abiding spirit of service and thus help and encourage them to develop a healthier and broader outlook on life.

The curriculum for classes 1 to IV includes:

English,Malayalam / Kannada, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Computer Education, Art Education, Life Skills, Value Education, Physical Education and Music.

E-Learning with interactive board based on the latest technology is introduced to all classes from the academic year 2010-2011.

Other facilities- Library, computer lab, Language lab, Audio Visual room, Museum, Conference hall, Dhyana Mandir.

The school has started a unit of the Association of the Kasaragod Amateur Taekwondo(karate) for girls and boys on the campus.

Special Classes in Dance, Music, Painting & Drawing for talented students are run on request from the parents.  "Chinmaya Kalamandir" equipped with modern musical instruments undertakes this job with the expertise of a full time music teacher of the school and other hired professionals.A Kalamandir Annual Day  is also observed exclusively for the students of these special classes.

Our Vidyalaya is recognised as a special Chapter of  SPICMACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music & Culture Amongst Youth) which exposes our students to outstanding exponents of Classical Music, Dance and other Art forms from all over India.Top artistes of international repute are brought to the campus for lecture-cum-demonstrations.
